Teaching is always something I’ve wanted to do. When I was growing up, I would watch my mom teaching and think “Wow! I’d really love to do that when I’m older!”. When the time came to choose a career, I decided to venture into a different field and leave my teaching dream behind. Little did I know that the career path I had chosen would ultimately lead me back to my dream job, teaching!
I qualified to be an Audiologist at the University of Pretoria in 2014 where my passion for working with the hard of hearing began. I then went on to teach English in Vietnam for 6 months at the beginning of 2017 and absolutely loved working with the children. It was then that I realised that I needed to find a way to combine my two passions. I am currently enrolled at UNISA studying a PGCE Foundation Phase and ECD.
I am very excited to be able to combine all the skills that I have learnt so far in the classroom and to be able to provide Audiology support where needed.
